Test: TomTom Bandit and RIDER

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

IMG_5599Time to go more in-depth with the products from TomTom I’ve been hanging onto for some time now. We are talking about the TomTom Bandit action camera and the TomTom RIDER 400, their new motorcycle specific navigator. I brought them both on the amazing trip to Grisslehamn this weekend to see how they stood up against the Garmin Montana and GoPro… Fortsätt läsa Test: TomTom Bandit and RIDER

TomTom RIDER 400: Unboxing and first look

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

IMG_5604I did it! After having procrastinated  for a week – I’m on vacation after all – I finally pulled through and did an unboxing video of the TomTom RIDER 400 Navigation (GPS). Or an attempt at least. Editing in iMovie isn’t exactly the most exact science. But here it is, I hope you enjoy it.  Fortsätt läsa TomTom RIDER 400: Unboxing and first look

Sneak peak: TomTom RIDER 400

IMG5813The things I do for you, readers all over the world. The kind people at TomTom Sweden, and the even kinder people at their PR-agency (Cloudberry, thank you!) sent me this to review over the summer. Tomorrow I’ll try to edit an unboxing video which will be followed by a First Look and, later on, an in-depth review. Does that sound all right to you…? Fortsätt läsa Sneak peak: TomTom RIDER 400

Another test coming up

19228_10152917210493037_3030931799266313770_nThinking of which GPS to get for your bike? So do many people and let me tell you, it’s a jungle out there. For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been using my friend’s Garmin Montana, supposedly the best GPS for the offroad adventurer there is. I can’t speak for it’s efficiency in that sense but for the onroad adventurer it does have its flaws. Like finding places for example. For that reason, I’ve decided to test another competitor… Fortsätt läsa Another test coming up

TomTom Bandit: Time lapse

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

19784_10152901547405922_6562901408833575357_nThis weekend  I made a short time lapse using the built-in function of taking one frame in 1080p every second. It turned out okay and naturally I wanted to show you this. Unfortunately Google, who kind of owns Internet, has decided to make the worst god damn apps to iOS, the YouTube app and the YouTube Capture apps. Since it seems nearly impossible to upload a video in true HD-quality, you’ll have to take my word for it when I say that the time lapse looks much better when played from the original file… Fortsätt läsa TomTom Bandit: Time lapse

TomTom Bandit and the working instrument display

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

vlcsnap-2015-06-27-10h26m14s179I just felt I had to bring some proof to the table. Proof that I actually got a working display now. And since I began my testing of the TomTom Bandit action camera, why not combine the two? So far I have only managed to test the camera in low light conditions, like really low light, and on two different settings: 720p/120 fps and 1080p/30 fps.

John Doe kevlar jeans: Review

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

IMG4962Since January I’ve been using the John Doe Kamikaze kevlar jeans when riding. Sure, it has been that many opportunities to ride but I feel that I have enough experience with the pants to write a more in-depth review of them. The market for kevlar jeans (and similar protective fibres) seem to be growing and I know how hard it can be deciding which ones to buy, especially since they are pretty expensive.  Fortsätt läsa John Doe kevlar jeans: Review

KTM 690 Enduro -08: First look

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

IMG_5526-1Yesterday afternoon I got the chance to try out my KTM 690 Enduro for real. I have ridden it a few times, but only in the city for short periods of time. Although by the time I was done with some unexpected chores the beautiful weather was replaced with dark clouds and temperatures around 8-10 degrees Celsius (resulting in me having a man cold from hell today), I still managed to get 150 kilometers out of her and these are my impressions… Fortsätt läsa KTM 690 Enduro -08: First look

First look: John Doe Kevlar Jeans

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

IMG4963While my engine disassembly and, later on, assembly, is going slow, like really slow, I’ve spent a few days at a motorcycle expo in Stockholm although I worked in a different section not connected to motorcycles at all. Not only did I see a lot of new bikes but I also did what I promised myself a long time ago: I bought a pair of kevlar jeans. Fortsätt läsa First look: John Doe Kevlar Jeans
